welcome to ETV Fencing Club`s website! We are glad that you have chosen to visit our site and we would like to tell you a wee bit about ourselves.
We have more than 130 members, which includes all weapons, ages and abilities. We are the biggest fencing club in Hamburg.
Our goal is to have fun, whilst achieving high standards in all categories. We are very successful regionaly, nationally and internationally. E.g. in 2006 we won two 2nd places and a 6th in Germany`s premier club team tournament, Deutschland Pokal. We also have three current Hamburg champions in foil and sabre.
Internationaly, over the last few years, we have also been very successful and have achieved many podium places.
However, we also have a place in our club for beginners, young and more senior. As well as fencers who just want to fence and have some fun ("beer fencers").
The high point of our year is our Weißherbst tournament (6 weapons). Which is one of the largest tournaments in North Germany. It is regularly visited by both local and international fencers. In 2007, Weißherbst will take place on the 27/28th of October. All are welcome and we can help with accommodation.
We are very happy to receive fencing tourists from all over the world. So, if you fancy fencing in Hamburg, just come along !!!!
We have open sessions in ETV, Bundesstr. 96, Monday, Thursday 2000-2215hrs & on Saturday from 1200- 1345 hrs.
